We know that many Official Tour Guides in Vienna follow the work of space and place, and are fans. But at the same time, Eugene Quinn's work is certainly not appreciated by all of them. So here is a useful opportunity to create dialogue, instead of resentment.
Twice a year, the tour guides of Vienna meet to talk about issues and trends. This time, Eugene has been invited to present his approach to Vienna, and the walks he makes. And then to answer some critical questions about his role. While he has twice paid fines of €380 for making illegal tours, he is now also officially classed as a Reisebegleiter, and works closely with Gerti Schmidt, head of the Tourism section of the Chamber of Commerce, on the innovative Speaking Statues project.
This evening should be good theatre.
