2019 marked 100 years of Red Vienna, and Eugene Quinn contributed to the celebrations with 10 tours of iconic social housing projects in Margareten, Mariahilf and Floridsdorf. And he will continue the investigation, in an interview with the Boston Globe newspaper on 1st February, and a talk about space and place's approach to arts and community-building, inside the cabaret and performance venue at Goethehof social housing project in Kaisermuehlen, in Donaustadt. The evening is curated by Werkl im Goethehof, and will feature radical music, poetry and ideas. Another highlight is Persy Lowis Bulayumi, Eugene's friend and colleague, with his own take on identity, belonging and how to say his Congolese name auf Wienerisch. It will be fun. And musical.
Peter Pilz has been a resident of Goethehof for many decades. Here is a film about the Graetzl: Grätzlheroes
