magdas Hotel 5th Birthday Fest

magdas Hotel is a worldwide innovation from Caritas Wien, a magical, transformative space in North Vienna, where people with a refugee background work in a hotel full of good stories and warm welcomes. Next time your friends are visiting Wien and not sure which hotel to stay in - this is the answer. And also when strolling along Prater Hauptallee, call in for fine wine and a charming garden.

Whoosh and Eugene have long had a commitment to the project, with Eugene DJing at the Baustellenfest back before the place opened (and we had no electricity in those days), and Monika organised a Promi Tischgespraeche that same night. Since then Eugene created the magdas Social Dinners, where hotel guests and long-term Vienna residents could enjoy a Syrian buffet and good chat with new Viennese who arrived here as refugees. And Eugene was dj at the first birthday fest, along with John Megill, Kristian Davidek and Jeschka Oszilat.

And now we are celebrating five years of innovation in Vienna, with the Hotel’s future secured. Eugene will dj at this Fest. Come and listen to some worldwide funky beats, meet new friends, and make social change simply by buying a glass of Veltliner in the Salon bar.
