Tell it differently: Communicate the (climate) change How to reach a different audience
You are familiar with “NetZero” and “Scope-3 emissions” and for years you’ve been working on emission reduction programmes with like-minded people. But for some reason progress is slow, and the person in the street thinks you’re an ivory-tower technocrat working on a first world problem. After all, we cannot really change the weather, can we!? And, anyways, what’s to gain with reducing to zero! Sounds familiar? OK, you really need to work on your storytelling and communication skills! Join this session to learn how to communicate the change and reach those who share neither your views, nor your language.
In many ways, this session is about what Eugene does every day - show the benefits of a bright green future, without over-explaining them. In schools, in newspapers, at events and out on the streets, to celebrate community, participation, urban life, good food, dialogue not shouting, walking, smart cities, good mental health through a simpler life.
