URBAN FUTURE CONGRESS 2027 - ISTANBUL

Byzantium...Constantinople...Istanbul is the largest city in Europe, and it is a beautiful symbolism for a world city to live on two different continents. This is truly a bridging place, with incredible visibility and influence both in Asia and Europe. The Turks continue to provide Europe with so much great food, work and flair. The country may not be so well-run, but the people bring a dynamism, energy and play we can all benefit from. Romantic, vibrant and wild, Istanbul is a massive experiment. And the Turks are the most ethnically diverse people in all of Europe, historically. It will play host to the Urban Future Conference in April 2027.

Whoosh and Urban Future will intersect once again (after our projects in Wien 2018, Oslo 2019, Helsingborg (Sweden) 2022, Stuttgart 2023, Lodz (Poland) 2025, Ljubljana last year, and now Turkiye.

Eugene Quinn from Whoosh will be presenting, moderating, DJing, challenging delegates with another cities-themed Pub Quiz, organising social-dining to connect residents with conference participants, and leading several tours. More details once we know them.

And - as ever - Eugene will represent Vienna innovation to the world. His home town is misunderstood through its waltzing chocolate cake image as a dusty museum - BUT IS IN FACT A SUCCESSFUL, PROGRESSIVE ALTERNATIVE TO TURBO CAPITALISM.
