Renske Ebbers is a creative producer and a hands-on curator of artistic and social projects. The accessibility of ideas and the people´s participation in creativity, are important values for her work. After growing up in the Netherlands and studying art, philosophy and theatre, she spent some years in Canada, Germany and South Africa where she was involved in dozens of projects. The crossroads between politics & the arts, and young people & professionalism have been her main areas of interest.
Renske works with art festivals like Theater der Welt, Internationales Sommerfestival Kampnagel and ImpulsTanz, for community-based projects like the Mezrab, House of Storytelling in Amsterdam, and social-inclusion projects like MAD, Mixed-Abled-Dance and Performance Art in Vienna.
When Renske moved to Vienna in 2023, she found recognition in Whoosh´s mission to uncover the international & experimental potential of her new home town, as well as the rebellious optimism of the Whoosh spirit. As a member of the queer community, she is currently developing a Whoosh Tour through Vienna´s most enticing queer spaces.
