Heute for Future-Awards: VIENNA WALKING WEEK one of the nominees

Many of you will not have heard of the Heute for Future-Award. It is an annual environmental prize, awarded to the most innovative projects in Austria. We are thrilled to be nominated in 2025, with potential to win €100, 000 prize. Schaumamal! While Heute may not be the most progressive newspaper, for Whoosh it is valuable to reach out to different audiences, with our new city storytelling. And the prize reflects a weekly page in the newspaper, dedicated to cutting edge ecological initiatives.

Quick reminder that Vienna Walking Week is now in its sixth year, and brings together 17 tours inside eight days, offering an alternative to more conventional tourism. We celebrate the city in summer, showing you do not to fly away to get all those positive feelings from a holiday, but instead explore how exotic and fresh Vienna can be. And it still costs just €50 for a whole week of trips around town, which is surely the cheapest package deal you will find. We love walking, and find it is under-rated.
